Durant, Oklahoma is a beautiful city with a large number of magnolia trees lining the streets and on the Southeastern Oklahoma State University campus. Durant has officially been recognized by the Oklahoma State Legislature as the Magnolia Capital of Oklahoma. The annual Magnolia Festival is the weekend following Memorial Day and is attended by tens of thousands of people each year and has a wide variety of family-oriented activities.
Lake Texoma. This 89,000 acres lake on the Red River is shared by Texas and Oklahoma. It is widely recognized as a top fishing lake and is one of the most popular recreation destinations in the Southwest. Lake Texoma was built by the Corp of Engineers in the 1940’s, and was stocked with black bass and crappie along the native white bass in the Red and Washita Rivers.
The lake area includes two wildlife refuges, two state parks, the 54th U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – managed parks, twenty-six resorts, hundreds of camp grounds and a variety of excellent golf courses.

As an entertainment destination, Choctaw Casino Resort provides on-site entertainment legends at its newly event center built Choctaw Coliseum, lodging amenities at the Choctaw Casino & Resort Hotel, as well the plethora of gaming options within the casino. Choctaw Casino is about 4 miles from Pebble Brook Village.
